Learn how to integrate diversity into your practice

Many students and supervisees from Masters and Doctoral programs have expressed their frustration at how diversity and multicultural topics were “sprinkled on” different courses. This 3 CE course provides mental health professionals with an opportunity to examine their own social contexts and biases and how they impact the therapeutic relationship when working with diverse populations, including BIPOC and LGBTQ communities. This workshop demonstrates how to weave multiculturalism and diversity into all aspects of your clinical practice using self-reflection and an internal locus of responsibility.

Program content level: Intermediate. This course builds upon the knowledge and skills of post-master's mental health clinicians' self-awareness and cultural competency.
