Course Description

Participants will be guided through an exploration of the history of discrimination and the impact it has on our marginalized populations. The course will focus on various systems that uphold and perpetuate discrimination, including the field of psychology. Participants will acquire knowledge that will allow them to further their understanding of the challenges marginalized groups face on their journey to growth, healing, and actualization.

Richla Davis, LCPC, is the cofounder of Ida Lillie Psychotherapy & Wellness, where she specializes in culturally responsive, identity-affirming, and anti-oppressive mental health care. She has extensive experience working with individuals navigating anxiety, relational patterns, life transitions, and oppression-based trauma. Richla integrates clinical expertise with a decolonized framework, supporting clinicians in expanding their cultural humility, deepening self-awareness, and strengthening their capacity to provide inclusive care. Her training style is warm, engaging, and grounded in both research and lived experience. Richla has a Master’s Degree in Education, and a licensed clinical professional counselor. Richla has guest lectured for the University of Chicago Crown School of Social Work and was an Adjunct Professor at DePaul University where she taught Multicultural Counseling for the graduate school counseling program.

FAQ

  • Q: I finished my course, where is my CE evaluation and exam link?

    A: On your course website, look on the left-hand side menu, and find the menu item to the CE eval and exam link. 

  • Q: I finished my exam, but I did not get my certificate, what happened?

    A: There are a few usual reasons: 1. Your email was misspelled. 2. You didn't hit SUBMIT when you finished your exam. 3. You didn't pass the exam. 4. It's in your spam folder. 5. Less common-The Internet failed when you submitted your exam. 6. Sometimes, other mechanical failures; we don't know. You can always retake the exam to correct any of the above potential issues and get the certificate resent to you. 

  • Q. I passed the exam by 70%, where is my certificate?

    A: You must pass the exam by over 80% in order to obtain your CE certificate, go back to your course page and access the CE link, retake the exam until you pass by 80%. You will be awarded your CE certificate upon passing at 80% or above.

  • Q: I created an account and paid for the course, but when I go to the dashboard, I didn't see my course, what happened?

    A: We often see people create two accounts by mistake due to the misspelling of email addresses. Then the paid course reside in the wrong-email-address account. Unfortunately, this requires manual help. Reach out to the Admin for assistance.
