In this interactive CE program, we will distinguish the benefits, characteristics, dynamics, and limitations of group supervision. We will identify processes, goals, and challenges in group supervision. Finally, we will cover evaluation tools to assess the effectiveness of this supervision format, strategies to improve dynamics, and how to foster a supportive environment.

Anna Yas, LCSW

Clinical Social Work Supervisor, Mental Health Professional Training Expert

Anna Yas, LCSW, is an experienced social worker specializing in clinical supervision, training, and curriculum development. Anna has supervised social workers for nearly ten years, focusing on the complexities of mental health practice and professional growth. Her supervision focus includes trauma-informed care, cultural humility, mindfulness, self-care and therapeutic engagement. She earned her MSW from DePaul University, completed an Advanced Psychodynamic Fellowship at the University of Chicago (2019–2020), and is a Level 2 therapist in Practice-Focused Training in Prolonged Grief Disorder.

Shan Ru Lin, ATCS, LCPC

Continuing Education Instructor and Clinical Supervisor

Shan Ru Lin, MA, LCPC, ATR-BC, ATCS, is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and Certified Art Therapy Supervisor in Chicago, Illinois, with over 15 years of experience in trauma-focused therapy and over 8 years of supervisory experience as a field, academic, and off-site clinical supervisor. She specializes in working with adult survivors of complex trauma and is a Certified Sexual Assault Counselor and EMDR therapist in private practice. As the founder of Spring Advisory, a mental health consultancy, Shan provides therapy, clinical supervision, and continuing education for mental health professionals.

FAQ

  • Q: I finished my course, where is my CE evaluation and exam link?

    A: On your course website, look on the left-hand side menu, and find the menu item to the CE eval and exam link. 

  • Q: I finished my exam, but I did not get my certificate, what happened?

    A: It's highly possible that you misspelled your email address when filling out the form. You can retake the exam to get the certificate resent to you. 

  • Q. I passed the exam by 70%, where is my certificate?

    A: You must pass the exam by over 80% in order to obtain your CE certificate, go back to your course page and access the CE link, retake the exam until you pass by 80%. You will be awarded your CE certificate upon passing at 80% or above.

  • Q: I created an account and paid for the course, but when I go to the dashboard, I didn't see my course, what happened?

    A: We often see people create two accounts by mistake due to the misspelling of email addresses. Then the paid course reside in the wrong-email-address account. Unfortunately, this requires manual help. Reach out to the Admin for assistance.

Each training should be 1 CE credit hour to meet license renewal requirements. First time renewal of LCPC also requires a 18-hour training on supervision.
